Visa-free islands, great deals gather

Starting this week, Xiaozhu will launch a super VIP event, blasting one destination each week.
The first round is Jeju Island, South Korea, followed by Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Bali, and more…
I really hope Xiaozhu continues this activity!

image1.png

Jeju is a nice place, the backyard of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, and East China.
This is a visa-free island with low costs, where you can easily explore over a long weekend (3 days and 2 nights) or in a longer stay (4 days and 3 nights).

image2.png

Today’s article features goods related to Jeju Island in the first half and travel tips in the latter half. It’s a customary practice of Xi You that good products must be paired with good travel guides.

Today, there are a bunch of items for Jeju, including flights, hotels, fully independent trips, and semi-independent trips are all available.

Finally, there’s a flash sale on Cathay Pacific tickets to Seoul!
All products are refundable without commitment, refundable upon expiration, and can be returned anytime, so everyone can stock up with confidence.

image3.png

Make sure to claim the coupons first! This VIP week’s goods for Jeju will all have them!
Taobao digital living has subsidized a 1599-80 coupon, which will be displayed on the product details page. Each account can only claim this coupon once; if you want to collect it more, you can invite friends and family to buy together.
The prices of the products listed below are before the coupon, so remember to deduct once you grab the coupons!

image4.png

All products go on sale at 9 am, let me detail them one by one.

image5.png

1) Jeju Island Amber Pure Mountain Resort HILL Amber Twin Room for 2 nights (private hot spring excluded breakfast) + Korea Travel Card, price upon claiming the official Fliggy coupon is 2599 yuan; HILL Pine Sea Double Bed for 2 nights (also excluding breakfast) + Korea Travel Card, after the coupon 3099 yuan; Forest Bamboo Whisper Double Bed Room for 2 nights + Korea Travel Card, after coupon 3399 yuan.
Valid until September 28, 2024, no price increase during the May Day, Dragon Boat Festival, and weekends; price increase during high season from July 18 to August 19.
Redemption must be completed before April 30.

image6.png

Before ordering, go to the page to grab a 400 yuan coupon; after that, the prices mentioned above will apply. Then you can stack with the 1599-80 coupon for even more savings!

image9.png

image10.png

Amber Pure Mountain Resort has been promoted twice before, and this is the first phase! Enjoying the snow scenery, staying in villas, soaking in private hot springs~
I recommend that everyone definitely stays at the second phase, which is the new wing with all villas (some are semi-detached) and includes private hot springs. All room types included in this package are from the second phase.

image11.png

image12.png

I personally recommend the Forest Bamboo Whisper Double Bed Room (2 nights without breakfast at 3399 yuan); it’s the most classic room type in the entire Amber Resort, designed as a spacious single-story villa that embodies a very Korean style.
This room type generally has a calendar rate of over 2000+ per night.

image13.png

image14.png

image15.png

The new room type for 2023 features 55 square meters, with very good hardware.

image16.png

image17.png

image18.png

There’s a private courtyard inside, featuring a hot spring that uses the cold spring water from Hallasan Mountain in Jeju, which produces private soaking water; technically, this does not count as a hot spring.

image19.png

image20.png

image21.png

image22.png

I’ll also share other room types. The HILL Amber Twin Room for 2599 yuan for two nights spans 53 square meters.
The next photo is real, with a private hot spring as well. Can you imagine a twin room with a private spring?

image23.png

The HILL Pine Sea Double Bed room priced at 3099 yuan for two nights is a third-tier room type, with an area of 61 square meters, as shown in our original photo. It also includes a private hot spring.
This room features large floor-to-ceiling windows, providing an incredible view.

image24.png

We have stayed at Amber Pure Mountain Resort three times now, and it is very visually appealing.
Especially notable is the transparent, infinity pool that is temperature-controlled, allowing for a soak at any time without feeling cold.

image25.png

From the lobby, it appears as such. You could take a random picture, and it’s guaranteed to be beautiful.

image26.png

Additionally, the hotel bar is also visually stunning. Jeju is rich in volcanic rock, thus the bar’s theme revolves around volcanic rock and lava, capturing the local ambiance.

image27.png

image28.png

image29.png

The hotel also has a Korean-style sauna that all guests can enjoy free of charge.

image30.png

image31.png

image32.png

image33.png

image34.png

Let me introduce the Korea Travel Card provided with the package, which essentially serves as South Korea’s transportation card. It can be used on buses and taxis in Jeju, and it’s easy to recharge at CU convenience stores.

image35.png

image36.png

The card provided does not have a balance, so you’ll need to recharge it yourself. However, once recharged, it becomes very convenient to use.

image39.png

image40.png

This package offers excellent value; despite seeing listings for over 1200+ yuan per night for Amber, those are all from the first phase. The second phase can go over 2000+ yuan for a standard room.

image41.png

image42.png

The Fliggy salesperson assured me that this time the discount is a special promotion from Fliggy and is 99.9% unlikely to be repeated. We’ll trust her just this once.

image43.png

image44.png

2) Jeju Island Myth World Marriott Resort for 2 nights including breakfast + Big 3 theme park tickets + Korea Travel Card, 1699 yuan

image45.png

Valid until September 28, 2024; not applicable during the May Day holiday, no price increase during the Dragon Boat Festival or weekends; price increases apply during high season (July 18 – August 19, see page for details).
Redemption must be completed before April 30.

image46.png

I have stayed at Myth World Marriott and have written about it.

image47.png

This resort is a travel “substitute,” the Korean version of Atlantis. It has a water park (indoor areas are temperature-controlled, available year-round), a land theme park, and a large shopping mall; along with food streets, cafés, cinemas, a bowling alley, and more…
It’s incredibly value-for-money! We spent a little over 1000 and celebrated New Year abroad.

image48.png

image49.png

image50.png

It features a mythological theme park created by TUBAn, a global 3D animation studio in Korea. Guests of Myth World Resort receive tickets to the Big 3 theme park, meaning each guest can choose any three attractions.

image51.png

There are quite a number of attractions, including giant swings and roller coasters.

image52.png

There is a water park, with both indoor and outdoor sections, though the outdoor area likely won’t open until June. This package does not include the water park ticket.

image53.png

There’s Wonder Island, comparable to TeamLab in Macao, which offers an imaginative immersive exhibition experience where you can take style photos.

image54.png

For those who enjoy video games, Myth World has a large indoor arcade.

image55.png

image56.png

image57.png

image58.png

There are also indoor billiard rooms and bowling alleys, though these will incur extra charges.

image59.png

A cinema is available, synchronizing with mainstream films, but only in Korean and English, with no Chinese available.
I attended a show, and the cinema is fantastic, akin to VIP halls in the domestic market. The ticket price is around 23,000 won, approximately 125 yuan.

image60.png

Shopping here features New World Simon Department Store, a massive shopping mall. New World Simon is a high-end discount outlet, so the deals are truly significant.

image61.png

Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, there are light shows and fireworks that last about 10 minutes, which are quite enjoyable.
This package does not increase in price over the weekend but typically, this hotel has a high weekend occupancy, resulting in higher prices on the calendar.

image62.png

Marriott is the only brand hotel in this resort, and the standard room area is 38 square meters.

image64.png

image65.png

You can consider this package a substitute for the likes of Atlantis or Changlong, offering a cost-effective option for enjoying the theme park in Jeju.

image66.png

3) Jeju City Five-Star Special Two Hotel for 3 nights (excluding breakfast) + Airport transfer + a day trip to Udo, starting from 699 yuan/person
Valid until June 30, 2024; additional charges and unavailable dates are noted on the page.

image67.png

image68.png

This is a half-independent travel product with a landing tour.
It includes 3 nights in a hotel (excluding breakfast), airport pickup, and a day trip to Udo.

image69.png

Udo is an island off Jeju, which in my opinion, has the best waters in Jeju. Here are some photos we took last week without significant editing apart from adjusting brightness.

The hotel used is also a five-star special two hotel in the city, available at price points of 699 and 799, with the 699 package being slightly inferior, while the 799 option is better.

image70.png

This package is suitable for those waiting for flight deals. If you come across round-trip tickets to Jeju under 1000 yuan, pairing them with this package offers excellent value.

image71.png

4) Shanghai-Jeju round trip flight for 4 days + 3 nights at the Jeju Grand Hyatt (excluding breakfast) + Airport transfer + Duty-free shopping golden card, starting at 2999 yuan
Valid until October 23, 2024; additional charges and unavailable dates are noted on the page, with booking ending on June 30, 2024.
image72.png

This package includes comfortable flight schedules, departing in the morning and returning at night. Although it’s with Spring Airlines, the flight to Jeju is slightly over one hour.

image73.png

The hotel is the Grand Hyatt, the best and tallest hotel in Jeju City (unmatched). We just returned from the Grand Hyatt and when I have time, I will write a report for everyone.
The rooms at Grand Hyatt Jeju are quite nice.

Large floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of Jeju City.

This Grand Hyatt even offers a traditional Korean sauna.

5) Round trip flight from Hangzhou, Shanghai, Nanjing, Beijing to Jeju Island including tax + 3 nights at a five-star special two hotel + Airport transfer + duty-free shopping golden card, starting at 2399 yuan/person

image76.png

image77.png

Hangzhou 2399, Nanjing 2699, Shanghai 2799, Beijing 2999, all starting prices. Some dates may incur additional charges.
Many departure dates available in April-May.

image78.png

Reference flights are as follows:

image79.png

Note that the timing from the Hangzhou port is not ideal, arriving late.

The hotel used is a local five-star special two hotel. The term five-star special two refers to a classification of hotels in Korea that is equivalent to an international four-star standard hotel.

image80.png

Overall, under the same star rating, four-star hotels abroad may not compare favorably with those in China primarily due to better infrastructure and relatively newer hotels here.
Most of Jeju’s five-star special two hotels are located in Jeju City, making them conveniently accessible.

image66.png

For an example, here’s one of the five-star special two hotels I’ve previously visited.
The lobby looks like this.

image81.png

image82.png

The rooms are similarly styled, but the location is indeed superb, just a few steps away from the duty-free shops.

image83.png

The advantage of the packages is that they’re refundable without commitment, allowing you to stock up beforehand.

image84.png

6) Hangzhou – South Korea Jeju Island 5-day free travel round trip flight (including tax and baggage), starting from 1799 yuan
Departure dates: May 2, 2024 – June 20, 2024, additional charges and unavailable dates are noted on the page.

image85.png

image86.png

This is a pure flight product with Longhao Airlines flying directly. Longhao’s schedule for Hangzhou to Jeju is more favorable compared to Spring Airlines, with evening departures and returns, resulting in a slightly later landing back in Hangzhou.

1 Purchase Taobao Command: 48¥ ZH4920 HHS4WKzD0AE¥ https://m.tb.cn/h.5zrA6UR/

image87.png

This package includes tax and baggage. When redeeming, remember to compare it with calendar prices or promotional flight prices, as prices in the flight product category can fluctuate significantly.

Flash Sale!
8) Cathay Pacific round trip ticket from Hong Kong to Seoul + 3 nights at Dongdaemun Novotel (excluding breakfast) + shared airport transfer + duty-free shopping golden card + Korea Travel Card starting from 1799 yuan/person

image88.png

Each ticket is valid for travel from April 20, 2024, to December 31, 2024, and must be redeemed before July 31.

This requires a flash sale, and if you grab it, you profit.
April 10 at 8 PM, 200 units for sale; April 11 at 8 PM, 50 units for sale; April 12 at 8 PM, 50 units for sale.

image89.png

This product is limited to 88 VIP or Fliggy F3/F4 members, requiring a minimum of 2 people to buy with a limit of 2 per person.
It’s safe to say that just the round trip ticket might cost more than 1799. The Novotel in Dongdaemun is also a great option, a hotel that opened in 2018 in a very convenient location.

Next, here’s a simplified travel guide for Jeju Island.

For more detailed information, take a look at the linked reading below; we have genuinely written a super detailed article before.
Round trip tickets for 699 yuan, this is the cheapest overseas destination.

image95.png

Advantages of Jeju Island:
Visa-free travel, anyone with a plain passport can depart.
Proximity, direct flights from Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Nanjing to Jeju take just a little over an hour—definitely a great option for Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, and surrounding areas in East China.
