Gaya Island Resort, located in Malaysia’s Sabah, requires a flight to Kota Kinabalu. This national park consists of five islands: Sapi, Manukan, Gaya, Mamutik, and Sulug. This means you are actually staying in a national park.
Gaya Island is the largest island within the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. It houses three hotels: the Gayana Eco Resort, the Gaya Island Resort, and the Taaras Beach Resort. It’s also a private island; other than hotel guests, no one can access it.
We have visited this resort, and the surroundings are genuinely wonderful.
Gaya Island features a wildlife center and a marine center, which not only shares extensive ocean knowledge but also protects and rescues sea turtles.

Honestly, the flight time for the outbound journey is not ideal and can be quite exhausting. However, the bright side is that you will be flying to Kalibo, not Caticlan. Boracay has two airports; Kalibo is a longer two-hour drive, but Caticlan is much more convenient as you can just take a boat to the island.
Moreover, this is a chartered group ticket, which allows for group visa applications (fees are 350 RMB). This is very important because a visa is otherwise required for the Philippines (although travelers with valid visas from developed countries can enjoy a 7-day visa-free entry). Regional visa applications for the Philippines are relatively troublesome, but obtaining a group visa is much more convenient.
Boracay is a fantastic place to visit; it is known as Asia’s number one white sand beach. This is not an exaggeration; I have visited many islands in Asia and can honestly say that I haven’t found a beach better than Boracay’s Station 1.

This hotel is situated south of the Qiantang River, boasting the best tidal viewing spot, with tourist attractions nearby such as the Salt Officer’s Scenic Area, Jin Yong’s former residence, and Xu Zhimo’s former residence.
Don’t think that tides only occur on the 18th of August. The massive tides on that date are indeed spectacular, but good viewing can be had from the 1st to the 5th and the 15th to the 20th of each month — there are about 120 days a year when you can see the tides. There’s a saying: The tide comes every day; the big tide comes every month.
Having grown up by the Qiantang River, I have seen many tides.

The Jingdezhen Taoyi East Suburb Hotel just opened this year, hence the attractive pricing. Its location is excellent, being near the Tao Creek Cultural District and the Le Tian Tao Society’s Creative Market, all within walking distance.
The Tao Creek Cultural District is a landmark in Jingdezhen, a must-visit spot. The district makes use of the original factory space to host art galleries, ceramic industrial heritage museums, traditional pottery workshops, and more.
The Hyatt Place in Jingdezhen is located quite close to the East Suburb Hotel.
