I’ve briefly introduced most of the popular hotel types; I won’t elaborate further on them, but there are still many noteworthy aspects of the Pelican Hotel that need to be discussed in detail.
Upon entering the lobby of the Pelican Hotel, I was truly amazed. A 12.8-meter tall, 4.5-meter diameter round coral aquarium dubbed “The Pillar of the East Sea” stands prominently in the lobby.
This aquarium is spectacular for photos; it looks great both day and night.
Being a Pelican Hotel, of course, there are plenty of pelicans around. Several beautiful pink pelicans can be seen lounging in the lobby bar.
These pelicans are incredibly beautiful; their feathers are smooth and shiny. On rainy days, they even move under the eaves to avoid the rain, which is very amusing.
I also encountered the hotel’s mascot—a family of pelicans that was genuinely adorable. It is said they will frequently appear in the lobby to interact with children.
The hotel’s restaurant is quite nice; it is said that there will eventually be five restaurants, but for the inaugural opening, only two restaurants are available: Navigation Whale Restaurant (all-day buffet) and Starfish Restaurant (family-friendly Chinese cuisine).
At the Navigation Whale Restaurant, my favorite breakfast dish is the seafood noodles and char siu rice, especially the seafood noodles, which feature local Zhoushan flavors and have very substantial ingredients, making them extremely delicious.
As for the Starfish Restaurant, it is incredibly cute—both the restaurant’s décor and the presentation of the dishes are delightful!
The adorable dish presentations and fresh color palette combine beauty, taste, and health, ensuring that kids will love mealtime.
The river-view and underwater guest rooms that aren’t part of this opening package are highly anticipated.
I stayed in a river-view room, which is similar in interior to the basic scenic room, with a massive connected “river aquarium” right outside the balcony, filled with small fish.
Guests here also receive a pack of fish food, and the children can earn a “Junior Caretaker” certificate, which is quite fun.
Moreover, pay attention to the underwater rooms that are expected to open to the public in July. All underwater rooms face the ocean park’s “Lost City,” allowing views of the underwater world.
This design clearly showcases the ambitions of Changqiao Group, as there are a staggering 27 underwater guest rooms constructed—quite a significant investment.
I believe everyone has heard of the 100,000 yuan underwater suites in Sanya, right? Such rooms are indeed not cheap.
