This hotel is located in the ancient town of Xingping, right next to the Li River. Those familiar with Guilin know that there are different prices for Guilin and Yangshuo, and being close to the Li River in Yangshuo makes it even pricier. Thus, this hotel, which normally costs around 1000 yuan a night, is now only 999 for two nights—a real bargain!
The Hilton Garden Inn Yangshuo is the first resort-style Hilton Garden Hotel opened this year. We specifically visited the hotel. It is directly facing the river, backed by the Karst landscape of Yangshuo, providing a stunning view as if you’re enjoying the entire Karst landscape right in your hotel garden.
Plus, the hotel is located in the prime section of the Li River (Jiuma Huashan – Yangshuo), very close to the iconic 20 yuan sightseeing spot. Nearby, you have Xingping Ancient Town and Jiuma Huashan within a 20-minute transportation radius to watch the sunrise at Xianggong Mountain and the sunset at Laozhai Mountain. It’s quite convenient to take a bamboo raft on the Li River from Xingping Dock. This is arguably the most comfortable location in Yangshuo.

This hotel is incredibly close to nature; in the outdoor area, it feels like you’re completely surrounded by the beautiful waters and mountains of Yangshuo.
The hotel features an infinity pool that overlooks the Xingping River.
The facilities of the hotel are quite good. Don’t let the Hilton Garden name fool you; the quality is genuinely impressive. The garden room included in this package is the hotel’s standard room, with an area of 35 square meters. Isn’t the quality significantly higher than most Hilton Gardens?
There’s also a small terrace that should feel quite comfortable, with an area of approximately 15-20 square meters, in collaboration with the Green Lake.
I personally recommend the package of 2 nights with breakfast + lunch + afternoon tea for 1288 yuan. Resort hotels are meant to be enjoyed leisurely. The food here is pretty good.

2) Youxiong Villa by Yangcheng Lake: 1 night with breakfast for 799 yuan.

Youxiong Villa is located near Baicheng Town by Yangcheng Lake, an ancient Jiangnan water town with over 2500 years of history, known for its hairy crabs, and is the birthplace of Kunqu Opera. The villa has a showroom that can introduce you to Kunqu opera.
This site used to be a grain depot, and the standard room here is a 116 square meter single-bedroom villa.

**Record Low**
3) Nanjing Suning Zhongshan International Golf Hotel: 1 night with breakfast for 799 yuan.
Valid until September 30, 2024, and weekends add 200 yuan per night; during Labor Day (May 1-3), 500 yuan, and during Dragon Boat Festival (June 8-9), 200 yuan per night additional.
This is indeed a record low price! If I remember correctly, the initial opening price for Suning Zhongshan Golf was 1999 for two nights, which is quite a discount compared to the opening price.
I really like this place; I always thought Zhongshan Golf ranks quite high among vacation hotels in Nanjing. First, the location is excellent, situated in the Zhongshan Scenic Area. It’s not far from Purple Mountain, Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, and Mingliang Palace, and it takes about half an hour to get to Tangshan Hot Springs. The hotel is quite large; I took a golf cart around the hotel and it took me more than half an hour to get around. Usually, traveling to Nanjing involves taking the high-speed train, and it takes about 30 minutes by taxi from the train station to Zhongshan Golf.
Additionally, the hardware is solid. You can tell that the owners at Suning truly invested heavily in creating this flagship hotel, utilizing the best infrastructure, dining, and amenities at Zhongshan Golf. The hotel resembles a European castle.
I have stayed at both the Zhongshan Sofitel (the predecessor of Zhongshan Golf) and Zhongshan Golf itself. Upon re-entering Zhongshan Golf, I felt that the interior has been completely transformed—it’s very upscale and eye-catching.
The room facilities are also top-notch; the standard room amenities include Biology products, and the upgraded rooms feature Parma water. The hairdryer is Dyson, the mattress is King Koil, and the bath fixtures are from Kallista, a high-end brand under Kohler. They even have Schott crystal glasses, BOSE speakers, and a Nespresso capsule coffee machine… I would say Suning has indeed put significant investment into this hotel.
The swimming pool at Zhongshan Golf is quite attractive and visually appealing.
The children’s indoor playground covers 200 square meters, designed like a castle. Many readers have praised their indoor children’s playground.
Zhongshan Golf can be trendy and luxurious; it’s at a record low price, definitely worth grabbing.
The standard price is over 1200 yuan a night.
4) Lijiang Pullman 2-nights single-bedroom detached villa with breakfast + 30 minutes of mountain biking for 1388 yuan.
Valid until October 31, 2024, with no weekend price increase. During Labor Day (April 30-May 5), summer (July 10-August 20), and National Day (October 1-5), an additional 399 yuan per night; other dates don’t increase.
If I remember correctly, I’ve never seen Lijiang Pullman villas priced this low. Their standard room is around 800+ yuan per night, while this is a large 288 square meter villa.
This Pullman is located in Shuhe, not far from Banyan Tree and Hyatt. I have stayed here and it resembles a Naxi courtyard; as long as it doesn’t rain, you can see the Yulong Snow Mountain clearly.
This room type is a detached villa of 288 square meters, and this size includes the garden.

This hotel, opened last year, is located near the Dazhonghai, adjacent to JW Marriott and Aotege Select. The location is quite good. Why choose the Dazhonghai in Sanya? The beaches here are beautiful, with palm trees, and you can swim in the sea. It’s also close to downtown Sanya, providing plenty of dining and entertainment options, making travel very convenient.

Ascott is a high-end international apartment brand. One of the benefits of staying in an apartment in Sanya is that the room includes a kitchen, so you can cook for yourself.
The price of 999 for 2 nights with breakfast in an executive sea-view suite is quite high value. This suite ranges from 78-88 square meters, with independent bedrooms and a living room, along with an open kitchen.
When averaged, this price is under 500 per night, and such rates in hotels around Dazhonghai are quite unimaginable. On the calendar, even basic rooms without breakfast are around 549 a night. In all honesty, the hardware configuration here far exceeds other hotels at the same price point.
The 2-bedroom, 1-living room family suite spans 118 square meters, accommodating up to 4 adults. There are two configurations: one with two king beds and another with a king bed and a double bed.

What is it like to stay in a world-class villa cluster?
The Commune at the Great Wall is quite famous and was designed and built by 12 renowned architects from Asia, such as Kengo Kuma (Japan), Anton (China), Kanika (Thailand), and Mitsuaki Tsuji (Japan)…..
Thank goodness they commissioned them early; considering the current situation, it would be tough to hire even one.
The Commune at the Great Wall merits multiple visits since each architect’s designed room is entirely different; you could go just once and still not experience everything.
Kengo Kuma’s bamboo house features tatami mats, and the sunlight filtering into the room feels very comfortable.
Anton’s red house is very photogenic; it’s no exaggeration to say every step is scenic.
Mitsuaki Tsuji’s forest cabin has a bit of a Muji style, featuring simple wooden tones paired with pure white.
Although the hotel opened in 2002, it underwent a renovation and enhancement in 2021. Currently, the rooms available for occupancy are new constructions modeled after the original 12 buildings.
In addition, after Hyatt took over, AIM Kaimu Architectural Office invested about six months to redesign the interiors of the villas and the main building club.
We experienced our stay and enjoyed it quite a bit.
The Commune at the Great Wall is particularly thoughtful when it comes to kid-friendly designs. They built a children’s commune for kids to play directly in the Commune.
The 2-floor children’s commune features many segmented areas for crafts, baking, playgrounds, libraries, and more, with each area meticulously arranged and brightly colored. Every section has comfortable sofas and armchairs, allowing parents to accompany their children nearby.
The Commune at the Great Wall is also full of rich attractions. The Badaling Great Wall allows night excursions, which sounds quite cool. There’s also the Badaling Wildlife World, where you can feed various small animals, which kids will surely love.
The 999 price includes a room, breakfast, and half a signature wood-fired duck from Hyatt. Hyatt’s duck is quite famous; it’s a signature dish.

8) Yuxi Pullman Luxury Skyline Room: 1 night with breakfast + unlimited lunch for two for 799 yuan.

Yuxi is known as a microcosm of Yunnan’s nature and culture, covering more than 90% mountainous territory, with a forest coverage rate of 64.06%. Of course, the area is rich in highland lakes and historical culture.
Fuxian Lake is part of Yuxi. It’s suitable for visiting alongside Kunming.
Kunming is the hidden fairy city near Yuxi, hiding more than just a few earthly paradises!
Our editor visited this hotel and claimed it’s relatively new (opened in 2022) and has good facilities, also featuring many trending photo spots.
For instance, there’s a seating area in the pool that overlooks the city.
The hotel is visually striking, complemented by a beautifully curved spiral staircase suitable for photographing.
