Summer travel’s first choice! Plus, it has an ultra-long validity period! It’s really hard to find such great deals in popular cities.

Let’s get straight to the point; today I’m bringing you a solid offer from our old friend — the Baixiang Yuanshan Hotel in Zhangzhou. If you’ve been following our travel guide account, you would have noticed I’ve recently posted several articles about Zhangzhou, and I’ve subtly given some previews in the comments section…

image1.png

image2.png

There’s no way around it; summer is approaching, which is a peak time for tourism. I want all you shareholders to be prepared ahead of time since good deals require quick fingers, especially when it comes to products in Zhangzhou.

image3.png

To be honest, Zhangzhou has been gaining popularity in the past couple of years, overtaking Xiamen and Quanzhou in some respects. Just look at this year’s May Day holiday—Zhangzhou jumped to the top of the list of ancient cities with the highest search volumes in the country. Almost everyone wants to come here to eat, drink, explore, and immerse themselves in a “slow life” experience.

image4.png

On this trip to Zhangzhou, I fully indulged in food and fun for about three to four days, and to sum it up in one word: refreshing! The locals exhibit an air of contentment; even the cats and dogs laze around in the shade, and the soothing Minnan songs serve as the city’s background music, making it hard to feel rushed here.

image5.png

image6.png

Moreover, the local cuisine is so abundant that you’ll want to turn back every ten steps. The saying “play in Suzhou and Hangzhou, eat in Zhangzhou, Fujian” isn’t just random talk. There aren’t any flashy trendy coffee shops or dessert stores here; instead, Zhangzhou focuses on a variety of inexpensive and hearty Minnan snacks. Many Taiwanese delicacies can trace their roots back to Zhangzhou before being popularized.

image7.png

I’ll let you in on a secret: during this trip to Zhangzhou, I gained nearly three pounds! The taste of “happy weight,” as they say, is something you can only truly understand if you experience it yourself!

image8.png

Now, back to the Baixiang Yuanshan Hotel in Zhangzhou. As one of the leading hotels in Zhangzhou, both the amenities and services are top-notch. Any hotel under the Baixiang brand is considered reliable among the people of Fujian. When considering a vacation without leaving Fujian Province, it is undoubtedly the first choice.

The hotel is located right next to the ancient city of Zhangzhou, in the very heart of the city, making it extremely convenient for exploring the old town. It’s only 2 kilometers away from the ancient city, and there are plenty of attractions nearby. Places like Nanshan Temple, Nanh Lake Ecological Sightseeing Park, Water Curtain Square, Qishouyan, the zoo, and the Flower Sea Children’s Paradise are all within walking distance, making it perfect for family outings—truly stress-free.

image9.png

image10.png

The hotel maintains a “three cancellation policies” system—non-refundable on booking, refundable after expiration, and flexible cancellations—which means you can stock up with confidence. Don’t forget to grab a coupon to save 30 yuan, as the prices mentioned are all after the discount.

image11.png

The prices are so explosive that I’ll first introduce the products. This time there are three packages, focusing on quality rather than quantity, which helps avoid indecision for all your shareholders. More on how to have fun in Zhangzhou in a bit.

image12.png

1) Zhangzhou Baixiang Yuanshan Hotel Family Twin Room or Family Parent-Child Room for one night including breakfast + one main meal (choose one out of a buffet lunch for two adults and one child / a Hong Kong-style set meal for two adults and one child / a Japanese meal for two adults and one child) + two adults and one child can enjoy hot springs during the stay + one ticket to the Whale Baby Paradise, the price after the coupon is 699 yuan.
Valid until December 31, 2024. Additional fees for the National Day holidays (October 1-4): 600 yuan per night; for October 5-6: 400 yuan per night (no additional fees for the Mid-Autumn Festival and New Year); during the summer vacation period from July 13 to August 24, an additional fee of 200 yuan per night for Saturday stays; for September to December, an additional fee of 100 yuan per night for Saturday stays. A reservation is required one day in advance. For the specific details of the package, please refer to the detail page.

image13.png

Honestly, this is one of the few packages currently available until the end of the year. The ultra-long validity period and very reasonable summer price increases for weekdays are quite friendly. Only a small weekend surcharge for a little over a month. Even for the Mid-Autumn Festival and New Year, no additional fees are required, so if you have travel plans, be sure to book as soon as possible.

image14.png

image15.png

image16.png

Furthermore, Zhangzhou Baixiang Yuanshan Hotel is unique in that it is also a well-known hot spring hotel in the hearts of the locals. There are a total of 28 hot spring pools, with an area of about 30,000 square meters, and you can use them freely during your stay!

image17.png

image18.png

And although it’s summer now, enjoying the hot springs is still very beneficial. Soaking in hot springs quickly opens up your pores, releasing heat from within. Through repeated soaking, your whole body feels invigorated, akin to having eaten a peppermint candy—super refreshing! If you really don’t want to soak, you can also choose to play in the swimming or splash pools in the hot spring park to cool off in the summer.

image19.png

image20.png

Here’s a map showing that the hotel refers to its area as a “Hot Spring Park,” and the environment is indeed exceptional.

image21.png

image22.png

image23.png

Next, let me detail the contents of package ①, which I highly recommend for family guests. To get a more accurate experience during my stay, I chose a family parent-child room at Zhangzhou Baixiang Yuanshan Hotel this time. Upon entering, the first thing you see is a cute mini tent, complete with stuffed toys, really hitting home with my inner child. I can only imagine how delighted kids would be.

image24.png

We’ve prepared the family parent-child rooms and family twin rooms for this package. The rooms all start at 60 square meters and come with two beds (1.35 meters and 2 meters). This setup is particularly friendly for families with multiple children, making it spacious and comfortable, with views of the city landscape.

image25.png

image26.png

image27.png

image28.png

The bathrooms are equipped with bathtubs. Additionally, since this is a family parent-child room, the decor and amenities within are specially designed considering children’s preferences. For example, there are children’s books, toys, and frog-pattern anti-mosquito stickers in the rooms.

image29.png

Even the toiletries come in a special “Frog Prince” set designed for kids, which is a classic local brand in Fujian—many Fujian natives used it during their childhood, guaranteeing its quality.

image30.png

As for the differences between the two room types: the parent-child room has more child-friendly arrangements, while the twin room is simpler; other aspects remain the same. So, for a better experience for the kids, it’s best to book early!

image31.png

Additionally, a ticket to Whale Baby Paradise is included, located on the first floor lobby of the hotel, considered a compact version of an “indoor playground.” While it isn’t large, it’s more than sufficient for little children to have fun.

image32.png

2) Zhangzhou Baixiang Yuanshan Hotel Deluxe RiverView King Room for two nights including breakfast (can be split into two rooms on the same dates, need to be booked 24 hours in advance) + enjoy happy hour in the executive lounge during the stay (if split into two rooms on the same dates, can enjoy happy hour for 4 adults and 4 children) + two adults and two children can enjoy hot springs during the stay (for children under 1.2 meters), price after the coupon is 858 yuan.

image33.png

image34.png
Valid until December 31, 2024. Additional fees for National Day (October 1-4) of 600 yuan per night, and 400 yuan for October 5-6 (none for Mid-Autumn Festival and New Year); summer vacation period from July 13 to August 24 will see an additional fee of 200 yuan per night for Saturday stays; for September to December, an additional fee of 100 yuan per night for Saturday stays. A reservation is needed one day in advance. For specific details of the package, please refer to the detail page.

image35.png

image36.png

Package ② is prepared for the Deluxe RiverView King Room, which has no restrictions. Suitable for all types of guests. The view overlooks the main waterway in Zhangzhou, the Jiulong River. Both day and night, the visual effects are quite impressive. The room is also generously sized at 59 square meters.

image37.png

image38.png

A noteworthy aspect of this room type is its huge bathroom and balcony, both facing the river—living here feels quite leisurely.

image39.png

image40.png

Additionally, the package includes access to happy hour at the executive lounge. While it isn’t a full meal, it’s perfect for enjoying snacks and drinks after soaking in the hot springs.

image41.png

3) Zhangzhou Baixiang Yuanshan Hotel Luxurious City View Twin Room for two nights including breakfast (cannot be split) + one Chinese meal for two people during the stay (reservation is required) + two adults and two children can enjoy hot springs during the stay, price after the coupon is 958 yuan.
For specific details of the package, please refer to the detail page.

image42.png

image43.png

Package ③ is the Luxurious City View Twin Room. The room’s configuration is the same as the RiverView king room; the only difference is the view.

image44.png

However, this package cannot be split over two nights, but it does include an additional meal. The meal serves hefty portions, easily enough for two people to share until full. I still recommend package ② for its flexibility since once you come to Zhangzhou, it’s practically impossible to stay just one night.

Of course, the Zhangzhou Baixiang Yuanshan, being a hot spring hotel, has its unique features. The hot springs here are divided into three themes: ambiance, wellness, and floral beauty, each offering different benefits. The pools are separated by greenery, winding through them; it feels almost like roaming in a park, providing excellent privacy.

image45.png

During my visit, I noticed many guests driving in from other cities just to enjoy the relaxation of the hot springs, which speaks volumes about the quality of their hot springs.

image46.png

image47.png

According to the hotel’s official description, the hot springs here are a mixture of underground thermal water and residual ancient seawater, intermingled with modern seawater through rock fractures, forming highly mineralized seawater hot springs. No wonder it’s famous throughout Fujian!

image48.png

image49.png

image50.png

Additionally, there are designated areas for children in the hot spring zone that regularly feature changing themes. During my visit, I happened to encounter a bunch of little yellow ducks, showing just how well they understand what children want!

image51.png

Aside from the essential hot spring facilities, there are also indoor pools, gyms, and other amenities available, which I won’t delve into.

image52.png

image53.png

Besides its location and hardware, two more features of the Zhangzhou Baixiang are worth mentioning:
Firstly, it provides shuttle services to and from the airport. Even though Zhangzhou has only recently been gaining popularity, it has always had convenient transportation options. From Xiamen, the high-speed train takes just around 20 minutes. Places like Quanzhou, Xiamen, and Zhangzhou can all be explored together. I came from Zhangzhou to Xiamen and then back to Hangzhou—it really is convenient.

image54.png

image55.png

If you plan to fly to Xiamen, the hotel also provides shuttle services to and from the airport for just 40 yuan per person. The Yuanshang shuttle runs nine trips daily between the airport and the hotel; it’s affordable and, more importantly, super convenient—especially friendly for families with children.

image56.png
Secondly, the hotel actively provides various local Zhangzhou dining and exploring routes. When checking in, the hotel staff will add you on WeChat and send you different themed routes for exploring and eating around Zhangzhou. If you run into issues during your travels, you can directly consult them on WeChat, giving you the feeling of having a local guide arranged for you. You will also receive a hard copy of these recommendations during check-in, clearly outlining your eating and playing arrangements.

image57.png

image58.png
Now let’s get into the travel guide for Zhangzhou.
The Zhangzhou ancient city area is undoubtedly the best place to stay in the city. This central area features seemingly dilapidated arcade buildings, archways, and western-style buildings on several intersecting streets, showcasing both the history of Zhangzhou and showcasing the daily life of its people.

image59.png

If it’s your first time visiting Zhangzhou’s ancient city, you might start your exploration at Zhongshan Park on Yan’an Road. It holds countless memories for Zhangzhou’s residents. From morning until night, people come and go, whether they’re walking, exercising, or chatting—displaying the region’s genuine lifestyle.

image60.png

Continuing along Yan’an Road leads you to the “Old Street District” within the ancient city, composed of Hong Kong Road, Taiwan Road, Shixing Road, Xiuwen Road, and Fanghua Crossroad. Hong Kong Road and Taiwan Road are the essence of the old town, with many traditional shops still featuring wooden doors. Walking here, you can fully experience the lifestyle of Zhangzhou.

image61.png

image62.png

image63.png

image64.png

The Confucian Temple, built in the Northern Song Dynasty, is also located within the ancient city and has a history of over 900 years, marking it as the largest national key protected cultural relic in Zhangzhou. The temple is spacious and bright, dominated by darker tones, with few visitors—perfect for a leisurely stroll to feel the historical ambiance of Zhangzhou.

image65.png

In addition, the Zhangzhou ancient city is also a hub for local snacks, such as A-Qin beef, Jianguo oyster omeles, Kelei Shop’s four-fruit soup, fresh juice from Changshou, and Sun’s rice cake, all found around the ancient city—just come with an empty stomach to enjoy. For more details, you can check the guide: I can’t understand! How can this old city not be that popular yet have such a variety of food?

image66.png

image67.png

Qishouyan Temple

image68.png

image69.png

Located on the southern bank of the Jiulong River, Qishouyan Temple is the oldest ancient temple in Zhangzhou, historically known as “first there was Qishouyan, then comes Zhangzhou City.” In local terms, mountain temples are equated with “temples.”

image70.png

This temple is the place of worship for Manjusri Bodhisattva and is praised as “the North Wutai, South Qishou.” Notable figures such as Zhu Xi, Huang Daozhou, Xu Xiake, and Zhang Xie left their footprints and poetry here during the Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties.

image71.png

Longjiang Paradise

image72.png

Although visiting amusement parks isn’t the main reason for coming to Zhangzhou, for parents with kids, I want to introduce Longjiang Paradise.

image73.png

It’s close to Zhangzhou Baixiang Yuanshan Hotel, and its facilities fully meet children’s needs. If the kids wish to go to an amusement park, it’s a fallback option.

image74.png
Lychee Sea
This season is the perfect time for lychees. Many might not know there’s a Lychee Sea in Zhangzhou.

Zhangzhou’s Lychee Sea is an ecological park themed around lychees. The park has nearly 30,000 lychee trees, with over ten varieties, including Black Leaf, Orchid Bamboo, Guiwei, Feizixiao, Glutinous Rice Ball, and Green Pod, most of them over 50 years old, with some reaching a hundred, making it a lychee wonderland.
