Just Love Local Features, Just Love to Be Different

Those who are familiar with us should know that we have serious personal preferences when it comes to recommending hotels!

image1.png

Especially overseas, international brands are generally not our first choice; we prefer local options or some niche alliances.
For instance, YTL in Malaysia, the Heritance and Dilmah chains in Sri Lanka, Anantara in Thailand… as well as global brands like Relais & Châteaux and SLH.

The main reason is that we dislike homogenization and uniformity. We love local characteristics and prefer to stand out.

image2.png

Of course, another aspect of the situation is that international hotel groups find it challenging to offer exceptional prices. Local ownership groups often give high value products as part of their initial promotions to attract Chinese tourists.
Just remember how good the prices were when we first promoted the Heritance chain in Sri Lanka and the YTL chain in Malaysia. Although they increased later, those who bought the first and second batches profited.
When a hotel group wants to break into the Chinese market, they are willing to provide good offers.

image3.png

In today’s issue, we will discuss the Cape & Kantary Hotels group in Thailand.
This is a local luxury hotel brand in Thailand, with hotels in multiple cities including Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Hua Hin, Koh Samui, Ayutthaya, and Rayong.

image4.png

Many of Cape’s hotels have also been selected by SLH, Mr and Mrs Smith, and the luxury alliance Virtuoso.

image5.png

Let me introduce each option. We have products available in Phuket, Bangkok, Ayutthaya, and Hua Hin.
Not only do we offer hotels, but there are also vacation packages.
All the hotels we promote have been personally visited and experienced by us, especially concentrated in the past month.
We have always insisted that the key hotels we recommend, whether domestic or international, must be seen, experienced, and stayed at by us first.

Furthermore, there’s an additional significant benefit to these products.
All products can be freely changed or canceled 15 days prior to arrival, even after the booking is confirmed. So everyone can rest assured if they want to stock up and book; you can hold onto some good dates. Many of this year’s packages do not increase prices during National Day.

image7.png

All products can be freely canceled, expired canceled, or canceled anytime. Moreover, after confirmation, they can still be canceled for free as long as it’s 15 days before travel.
Although today’s offerings are vacation packages, the prices are for couples and not charged on a per-person basis.

image8.png

image9.png

The child policy and third adult occupancy policy are quite favorable, which I won’t detail in the article; all the specifics are available on the product detail page.

**Phuket (all within the same link)**
1) Cape Panwa Hotel, Phuket: exquisite suite for 2 nights with breakfast + private airport transfer service for 1599 RMB; Cape Suite (Garden View) for 2 nights with breakfast + private airport transfer service for 1999 RMB.

image11.png

Validity until October 30, 2024; no price increase during summer and National Day.

image12.png

This hotel is well-known and located on Phuket’s tranquil southeast coast, built on an old coconut plantation on a hillside. The hotel environment is exceptional, as can be seen in the picture below (the red frame indicates the hotel).
Nestled in a peaceful cove, it overlooks the bustling Phuket.

image13.png

image14.png

image15.png

image16.png

Cape Panwa has a private beach.

image17.png

image18.png

While Phuket boasts numerous great hotels, not many offer a private beach.

image19.png

image20.png

image21.png

image22.png

image23.png

image24.png

To reach the beach, guests can take a cable car down from the hillside, similar to the resorts at Koh Samui InterContinental, Da Nang InterContinental, as well as some hotels in Bali’s Uluwatu.

image25.png

Additionally, the hotel has its own private pier.

image26.png

Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, there’s a fixed boat trip to Coral Island for snorkeling, which charges approximately 1200 THB. You depart in the morning and return in the afternoon, essentially making it a day trip.
If you have other company tours booked, you can inform the hotel of your precise location; if it’s on the route, they can arrange to pick you up at their pier.

image27.png

Many celebrities have stayed at this hotel, including Michelle Yeoh and Leonardo DiCaprio, who lived here while filming “The Beach.”

image28.png

If you stay at this hotel, you can pridefully say that both you and Leonardo DiCaprio have stayed here.

image29.png

image30.png

Numerous films have also been shot at this hotel.
There’s a colonial-style building, Panwa House, with a restaurant on the first floor and a small museum on the second. Many films love this location.

image31.png

The seaside restaurant on the first floor of Panwa House is pretty popular, so it’s recommended to book in advance.

The hotel includes a spacious indoor children’s center, providing plenty of entertainment options for kids.

image32.png

image33.png

image34.png

The room type offered is an exquisite suite, the second-tier room type, with an area of 53 m² and a balcony. Below is our real photo.

image35.png

image36.png

image37.png

The package also includes the Cape Suite, which is even larger, at 78 m².

image38.png

image39.png

image40.png

This package includes private airport transfer service, which means that a car will be arranged to take you from Phuket Airport to the hotel after your arrival. The journey takes about an hour.

image41.png

image42.png

image43.png

For stays in June, there will be additional exclusive perks (because the pool next to the lobby will be under maintenance, these perks are added as compensation):

image44.png

image45.png

1) Thai lunch/dinner (choose one), available every day during your stay for all guests (free);
2) Half-day trip to Coral Island once for all guests (free); the hotel provides snorkeling equipment, departing from their private pier; departures are every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 9 a.m., returning at 3 p.m. Reservations can be made at the hotel front desk on a first-come, first-served basis.

image46.png

How generous is this!!! Just because of the pool repairs, they’re offering so many extra benefits. Of course, if the pool is repaired ahead of time, these benefits will cease, which should be disclosed in advance.

Feel free to stock up and book, as you can cancel for free up to 15 days prior to your stay.

image48.png

2) SLH-affiliated Cape Kudu Hotel on Koh Yao Noi: luxury room for 2 nights with breakfast + multi-route shuttle service (airport pick-up to Phuket pier – not return, round trip from Phuket pier to Koh Yao Noi pier, Koh Yao Noi pier to hotel), for 1899 RMB; luxury sea-view room for 2 nights with breakfast + multi-route shuttle service for 2299 RMB; pool villa for 2 nights with breakfast + multi-route shuttle service for 2799 RMB.
Validity until October 30, 2024; no price increase during summer and National Day.

image49.png

image50.png

image51.png

This is another resort under the same group, Cape Kudu Hotel on Koh Yao Noi, which is part of SLH, a small luxurious hotel alliance.

image52.png

image53.png

image54.png

It is a small-sized hotel with only 55 rooms.

image55.png

The hotel is located on Koh Yao Noi, a picturesque island deep in Phang Nga Bay, known for its primitive wildness.

image56.png

This package includes shuttle services from the moment you land, from airport pick-up, to Phuket pier, then from Phuket pier to Koh Yao Noi pier, and finally to the hotel. You will also have a return trip back to Phuket pier, which would otherwise be quite complicated on your own.

image57.png

If you decide to go on your own, let me break it down for you.
From Phuket Airport to the pier (car): 700-800 THB per trip for a 5-seat car, taking 30-40 minutes;

image58.png

image59.png

Then, from the pier to Koh Yao Noi pier by speedboat: 400 THB per person per trip, taking 30 minutes;

image60.png

And from Koh Yao Noi pier to Cape Kudu (car): 150 THB per person per trip, taking about 10-15 minutes.

image61.png

image62.png

So, a one-way journey per person, approximately 1300 THB, for two people round trip is 2600 THB, but our package includes this (except for the return from Phuket pier to the airport), making it a great deal overall.

image63.png

image64.png

image65.png

image66.png

This hotel features a French style with a blue-and-white color scheme, refreshing yet vintage.

image67.png

The hotel’s infinity pool, which overlooks the sea, is particularly beautiful.

While Cape Kudu doesn’t have its private beach, there are exclusive sun loungers set up for hotel guests on the beach.

image68.png

On Koh Yao Noi, there are a variety of daily activities you can participate in (most are free). I’ll include a screenshot so you can see.

There are three room types included in this package: luxury room (45 m², 1899), with a balcony but no sea view; this offer is for 1899 RMB for 2 nights with breakfast and all-round shuttle service (not including Phuket pier to airport).

image69.png

Sea-view luxury room (45 m², 2299), with a sea view balcony.

image70.png

image71.png

I personally recommend the pool villa, which is 62 m² (2799), just look at those lovely little villas in the pictures below.

image72.png

image73.png

Inside the pool villa looks like this.

image74.png

1. Purchase Taobao Code: 07¥ CZ3458 0pj0WEO7c5N¥ [https://m.tb.cn/h.g3MdoY5/](https://m.tb.cn/h.g3MdoY5/)
No price increases during summer and National Day. Typically, a trip to Phuket for 4 nights is enough, you can book 2+2, staying 4 nights continuously at Cape Panwa without moving, or spend 2 nights on the main island and 2 nights off-island to fully enjoy your vacation experience.

image76.png

image77.png

image78.png

These two packages can be combined, forming a classic 2+2 itinerary for Phuket. Staying 2 nights on the main island and 2 nights on an off-island can provide a deeper experience of Phuket.

**Bangkok**
Bangkok Cape Residence: one-bedroom suite for 3 nights with breakfast + executive lounge + Bangkok private airport transfer service + one teddy bear, 2339 RMB.

image82.png

image83.png

Validity until October 29, 2024; no price increase during summer and National Day.

image84.png

image85.png

The hotel is in an excellent location, just a short walk from Thailand’s most concentrated shopping centers, Central World and Siam Paragon, with multiple shopping complexes to explore, often referred to as the “world center” of Thailand.
This area is also a concentration of luxury hotels in Bangkok. Cape Residence is close to Anantara, Kimpton, Waldorf Astoria, Hyatt, and InterContinental.

image86.png

A well-known attraction in downtown Bangkok called the Erawan Shrine is located less than 500 meters from the hotel. Truly an exceptional location!

image87.png

This package includes a one-bedroom suite, which is the hotel’s second-best room type, with an area of 49-75 m². Here’s a real photo of the room.

The package includes executive privileges; the executive lounge at Bangkok Cape Residence operates from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., providing free snacks, fruits, and drinks.

image88.png

Additionally, there’s the Bangkok private airport transfer service and teddy bear. I initially thought the teddy bear would be small, but it turned out to be larger than expected.

image89.png

1. Purchase Taobao Code: 98¥ HU7632 wyHhWEOQvjd¥ [https://m.tb.cn/h.gWOZvxL/](https://m.tb.cn/h.gWOZvxL/)
If you’re looking for a hotel in Bangkok with a good price-performance ratio and excellent location, you should definitely consider this one. That surrounding circle of hotels tends to be pricier than Cape Residence.

image90.png

image91.png

image92.png

image93.png

Bangkok Anantara Siam Hotel, 3 nights with breakfast + private airport transfer service for 3839 RMB.
Validity until October 29, 2024; no price increase during summer and National Day.

image94.png

Bangkok Anantara Siam Hotel is also nearby Erawan Shrine, perfectly situated alongside the previously mentioned Bangkok Cape Residence, making it a great location.
Anantara is characterized by its rich Thai style.

image95.png
This hotel isn’t cheap, as one night can reach nearly 1400 without breakfast. For our 3-night offer, which includes breakfast and airport pick-up, it’s a total of 3839 RMB, providing excellent value.

image96.png

image97.png
The Bangkok Anantara Siam Hotel has a remarkable history since it is the former Four Seasons Hotel in Thailand, later rebranded as Anantara, giving it a sense of prestigious heritage.

You’ll be staying in a luxury room, which is 42 m². Here’s a real photo of the room.
