Just-in-time Paradise Stock Up! Rooms, Tickets, and Meals All Set Today!

Recently, I’m not worried about spending my small amount of money. The big promotion on Fliggy, which is only second to Double 11 in a year, is just around the corner, and my colleagues are scattered across the country collecting hotel information. The 618 event is mainly to meet the travel demands for the summer vacation, isn’t it a necessity? Please wait for the hot product lists until May 18.

image1.png

For this big promotion, the methods are still being devised. But today, our Monday meeting is a bit special—we’re only recommending products from one source. Rest assured, these items are definitely necessities.
You can now secure your accommodations, tickets, and meals at the Universal Beijing Resort hassle-free and more cost-effective with just one click!

Let’s summarize today’s article, which includes:
– The limited-time return of the Light Enjoyment Annual Pass on May 13, vacation hotel room vouchers, and the Hejia Chinese Restaurant’s two-person set meal going on sale early.

image2.png

– Time-limited discounts on vacation hotel room vouchers and great value tickets officially go on sale from May 21. All products for May 13 will go live at 10 AM today.

image3.png

1) Nobu Hotel – Universal Beijing Resort Garden View Room Voucher for 1 Night (Includes Two Breakfasts), starting from 1688 CNY.

image4.png

Validity: From May 16, 2024, to September 26, 2024. An additional 200 CNY per room night for Friday and Saturday stays, and an additional 900 CNY per night from June 7 to June 10, June 16 to August 27, and September 14 to September 16.

image5.png

Hotels offer flexibility with reservations and cancellations, available for weekends, summer breaks, and holidays.

Each time Universal holds a promotion, one advantage is that prices across all channels are basically aligned. If there are surcharges during peak summer or on special dates, they are uniformly applied across the board. Essentially, as long as you can use the room voucher, it’s more economical than booking a calendar room.

image6.png

image7.png

The official hotels of the Universal Beijing Resort not only have locational advantages but also offer one of the most valuable perks: early park entry by 1 hour. I have tested it, and rather than purchasing the VIP fast passes, it’s much better to enjoy the early entry! This extra hour typically gives you just enough time to navigate through two zones fully, and leisurely enough to take all the classic photo stops!

image8.png

image9.png

*Just shoot casually!

The Nobu hotel has the largest base room type among the two official hotels (50 square meters), accommodating up to 4 people. The early entry benefit can also be enjoyed by a maximum of 4 people. Just think about how much a VIP fast pass costs for four people; the cost-effectiveness immediately becomes clear!

image11.png

Nobu’s breakfast is quite valuable, priced at 228 CNY/person at the venue. The room voucher includes breakfast for two, making it a great deal! Honestly, finding breakfast near Universal is quite a hassle as the restaurants inside generally only open around lunch.

image12.png

image13.png

2) Universal Studios Grand Hotel Minion Double Bed Room Voucher for 1 Night (Includes Two Interactive Breakfasts with Despicable Me Characters), starting from 1988 CNY.
Validity: From May 16, 2024, to September 26, 2024. An additional 200 CNY per room night for Friday and Saturday stays; 900 CNY per night for stay periods from June 7 to June 10, June 16 to August 27, and September 14 to September 16.

image14.png

image15.png

Nobu is a leisure hotel, while Universal Studios Grand Hotel is a themed hotel, complete with various IP elements. The Minion-themed room can also accommodate up to 4 people, but it is 30 square meters in size. The advantage is the adorable Minions are there to accompany you to sleep, making your dreams filled with bananas 🍌.

image16.png

Their breakfast is even more distinctive, providing opportunities for character interactions during breakfast! Usually, you have to queue for character meet-and-greets in the park, but staying in the Minion room allows you to meet Gru, Edith, and the Minions in the restaurant!

image17.png

The Minion breakfast is currently 228 CNY/person, but this will increase to 296 CNY/person after June 1. The room voucher includes breakfast for two, making stored packages more valuable!

image19.png

image20.png

This is the same package as Double 11, with the same price, but I believe it’s more practical, especially with June to September being peak travel and family vacation periods.

3) Universal Studios Grand Hotel/Nobu Hotel – Deluxe Double Bed Room Voucher for 1 Night (No Breakfast), starting from 1388 CNY.

image21.png

image22.png

Validity: From May 25, 2024, to September 26, 2024 (inclusive) any day, excluding June 7 to June 10, and September 14 to September 16. An additional 200 CNY per room night for Friday and Saturday stays, and 900 CNY from June 16 to August 27.

Important: The room vouchers for both hotels will go on sale on May 21. You can add them to your cart first or join the group to await notification from the assistant (those who haven’t joined yet can add the assistant at xiyoutravel5).

image23.png

The redeemable hotel options do not include breakfast and are priced lower. How do you choose between the two hotels? I recommend considering the number of people. If you have 3-4 people, choose Nobu without hesitation, as Nobu offers a room of 50 square meters, while the Grand Hotel’s room is only 30 square meters—much more spacious.

1. Purchase Taobao Code: 99¥ MF1643 z43JWGHYZWq¥ [link]

image25.png

For 1–2 people, it depends on preferences. Nobu has the style of a traditional resort, while the Grand Hotel features IP elements. Location-wise, the Grand Hotel is closer to the theme park, but the difference in perceived distance is honestly minimal.

4) Universal Studios Non-Specific Date Three-Person Ticket – Adult Ticket, voucher price 1356 CNY (first copy the Taobao code to receive a 20 CNY exclusive discount voucher).
Validity: From May 26, 2024, to July 20, 2024. Reservations need to be made in advance, and the visitor must be between 12 years old (inclusive) and 64 years old (inclusive) on the day of ticket purchase.

image26.png

Before purchasing, remember to copy the Taobao code to receive the additional 20 CNY discount on Taobao or Fliggy.

Park tickets will also go on sale on May 21; you can add it to your cart first or join the group for notification from the assistant (those who haven’t joined yet can add the assistant at xiyoutravel5).

image28.png

image29.png

Park tickets are considered a commodity; the prices are always quite transparent. For example, Saturday tickets are priced at 588 CNY per person, totaling from 1764 CNY for three people. Those who have visited similar theme parks know that weekends and public holidays often come with varying surcharges, but this promotion offers all-inclusive ticket packages covering weekends, the Dragon Boat Festival, and some summer dates!

Please note that this ticket does not support automatic refunds after expiration!!! You must actively apply for a refund within the validity period!!! Refunds can be requested only if no visitors have used their tickets! It’s best to set a reminder for the date after purchase to avoid losing money unnecessarily. Additionally, family tickets (2 adults and 1 child) are also available; you can check the Fliggy flagship store for details.

image33.png

5) Nobu Hotel – Universal Beijing Resort Hejia Chinese Restaurant Two-Person Set Meal Redemption Voucher, 618 CNY.
Validity: From May 16, 2024, to September 26, 2024. It is recommended to call the restaurant 24 hours in advance to reserve a time at 010-57326308.

image34.png

Since it’s offered as a package, the cost-effectiveness of this deal is certainly high, with a 3.9 discount. Looking at the menu, this two-person package is fully sufficient for two adults and a child. Important to note: like the park tickets, it does not support automatic refunds; refunds can be requested without using it during the validity period, but expired or used vouchers cannot be refunded partially or fully.

This offer is available for today only (May 13)! This pass is applicable most weekdays from Monday to Thursday, and you can easily recoup your costs with just two visits!

image46.png

image47.png

image48.png

Annual pass holders enjoy exclusive security checks and entry paths when purchasing tickets, discounts on up to 4 tickets for friends and family, priority purchasing for limited new products, and a 5% discount… I won’t delve into all the rights you receive here. Those in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei can consider getting the annual pass.

image49.png

image50.png

That concludes the product introductions; let’s dive into some strategies. The appeal of these theme parks lies in their ongoing promotions. Whenever limited decorations and character costumes appear, I find myself excited yet again.

image51.png

Next, I’ll update you on the recent events taking place at Universal Studios.

Currently, the Beijing Universal Resort is hosting a “Spring Fun” theme event that runs until May 26.

image52.png

A lot of spring decorations have been added, and popular characters are all dressed in spring styles—it’s so joyful! Just to note, my last visit was during Halloween, and the contrast makes it feel like two completely different amusement parks.

My favorite part of the Spring Fun Party is that it’s the first time Universal Beijing Resort has introduced a participatory performance for visitors! There are three shows a day, located right on Hollywood Avenue.

image53.png

This is an interactive party! You can dance with your favorite star characters! A “party master” will teach dancers the moves on the spot, allowing you to dance with Minions, Woody Woodpecker, Winnie the Pooh, Puss in Boots, and more! I’ve noticed that the park seems to bring out my extroverted side—getting touched by the cat brings good luck!

image54.png

image55.png

There’s an all-day character meet-and-greet, giving characters new outfits for the spring party. They seem to change outfits way more often than I do!

image56.png

image57.png

*I absolutely adore this theatrical duo!

image58.png

image59.png

“Universal Pop Parade” is a new performance that has been added. According to the official Universal Beijing Resort App schedules, the parade will depart from Hollywood about 10 minutes early, parading to right in front of Optimus Prime. If you’re looking for a good vantage point, I recommend standing on the drink vendor’s side.

image60.png

image61.png

The Spring Celebration has added a new IP character, Gabby from the animated series “Gabby’s Dollhouse,” who will also perform on stage during the “Universal Pop Parade”—proving that being a popular character is definitely a hot career choice right now!

image62.png

image63.png

As a preview, the cool summer event at Universal will begin in June, inviting everyone to feel the refreshing splashes and embrace the summer breeze!

image64.png

image65.png

Moreover, there are the usual park activities we wrote about before.

image66.png

image67.png

I’ll compare the experiences of entering one hour early and entering at regular times to highlight their respective offerings. These are not official recommendations; I’ve been to Universal four times and in many ways, accumulated some useful experiences to share with first-time visitors to Universal Beijing Studios.

image68.png

image69.png

Entering One Hour Early:

image70.png

My suggested route is: Harry Potter → Minions → Jurassic Park → Hollywood → Transformers → Kung Fu Panda → WaterWorld.

image71.png

This route has the downside of a bit of backtracking, but it is undoubtedly highly efficient in terms of project enjoyment. Trust me; utilizing this extra hour will save you an incredible amount of time throughout the day!

Regular Time Entry:

image72.png

image73.png

My suggested route is: Jurassic Park → Transformers → Kung Fu Panda → WaterWorld → Harry Potter → Minions → Hollywood.

image74.png

Most guides urge you to rush to the popular Harry Potter attraction first, but during regular entry times, the queues are already outrageous. I recommend that you take advantage of the evening, especially during the Hogwarts light show, to quickly check off the attractions before the rush.

image75.png

From my own experience, if you utilize that one hour of early entry effectively, it’s completely feasible to enjoy all of Universal Beijing in one day. However, if you choose to enter at regular times, I suggest being selective about your attractions. Setting aside specific preferences towards certain IPs, I will subjectively recommend the core attractions in each area.

image76.png
Both the attractions in “Four Great Beasts” are a must.
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is the top attraction in the whole park. This is also the only one that suspends you in the air, giving the feeling of genuinely soaring through the skies on a magical broomstick behind Harry Potter while playing Quidditch.
