Finally arrived, sorry to keep everyone waiting

First, I want to say sorry for making everyone wait so long. However, there’s also some super good news: originally, this package had to be redeemed before March 30, but after discussions with Fliggy and the hotel, it has now been extended to before midnight on April 15, giving us an extra half month. Fliggy has already set this up in the system, so you don’t need to take any action. You can read this article and decide whether you need to make a redemption.Let me first share some photos; Jawakara has indeed lived up to my expectations.

The feedback from our company’s photographer is also very positive. During this trip, we visited 7-8 islands in the Maldives, and he feels that Jawakara is the best. It’s worth noting that Jawakara is not the most expensive island among them, but rather falls in the mid-range pricing.

image12.png

Jawakara has several highlights. There’s a dual-island long bridge, providing two different experiences in one hotel. The two islands also effectively separate different types of guests; Dheru Island is suitable for couples on honeymoons, while Mabin Island is family-friendly with a children’s playground, making it suitable for everyone.

image13.png

image14.png

image15.png

Jawakara features a small sandbar, which is perfect for photography. I’ll continue to share more pictures; it’s rare for a Maldivian island to have a sandbar.

The sand at Jawakara is soft, like flour, so walking barefoot doesn’t hurt. Additionally, there are almost no barriers obstructing the view, which is quite excellent.

image16.png

image17.png

Moreover, the environment on the island is great. Around the boardwalk and shallow waters, we spotted baby sharks and stingrays.

image18.png

image19.png

Next, I’ll provide a detailed report on Jawakara. Let’s talk about the location first. Jawakara is located in Lhaviyani Atoll, which requires a 35-minute seaplane flight plus a 40-minute speedboat ride, or alternatively, a 40-minute seaplane ride directly to the island. We opted to upgrade to the seaplane (additional cost of 850 CNY per person) and would recommend everyone consider this upgrade. Taking a seaplane is essential to fully appreciate the Maldives’ beautiful islands, which look like pearls scattered in the ocean.

image20.png

The seaplane terminal in Male is separate, but there’s no need to worry. Once you exit the airport, staff from Jawakara will pick you up and escort you to the seaplane terminal. Jawakara shares a seaplane lounge with several other hotels.

image21.png

image22.png

Jawakara has its own private seaplane. However, this doesn’t guarantee that you will always take the private seaplane, as during our stay, we saw both Jawakara’s seaplane and those from TMA providing transport. Having a private seaplane is a symbol of strength, much like Four Seasons and other prestigious brands that also operate their own seaplane services.

image23.png

image24.png

Upon landing, there is a welcome ceremony at the island featuring traditional Maldivian drumming, with the butlers lined up to greet you. There are three Chinese-speaking butlers at Jawakara, and in most cases, Chinese guests will be prioritized with the Chinese-speaking butlers.

image26.png

image27.png

The package I previously promoted included two days of beach and water activities, so this time we experienced both beach villas and water villas, all located on Mabin Island. The water villas at Jawakara are particularly noteworthy; you can see from aerial photos that there are various features beneath the water.

image28.png

image29.png

The area of the overwater villa is 107 m², and the hotel’s facilities are impressive. You can enjoy a sea view while lying in bed. The hardware of this room is absolutely fine by Maldives standards.

image30.png

image31.png

image32.png

image33.png

The water villa has a private pool with an unobstructed ocean view, and it also features a staircase that leads directly to the sea, allowing for snorkeling anytime, anywhere. Furthermore, the pool area is quite private; unless someone is using a drone, others won’t be able to see your pool.

image34.png

image35.png

We also stayed in the Mabin Island Beach Pool Villa, which is a room type that most guests would need to upgrade to from May to September, with an area of 101 m².

image36.png

The bathroom in the beach villa is significantly larger than that in the water villa.

image37.png

The beach villa also has a pool right next to the sand. While it’s normal for water villas to have better views, the views from Jawakara’s beach villa are still quite good.

Honestly, after visiting so many hotels in the Maldives, I have to say that at this price point of 9999, Jawakara really stands out. I couldn’t find a better room than theirs. Of course, it might also be that we haven’t stayed at enough Maldives hotels yet.

image45.png

Next, let’s discuss dining. The 9999 package includes half-board (breakfast and dinner), with three dining options available: Saima Restaurant, Aila Restaurant, and Vela Restaurant, which will be arranged based on your room’s location as the island is simply too large. Jawakara operates one hour ahead of the Maldives, and breakfast service ends at 10 a.m. (which is 11 a.m. in Male). Having only two meals a day is perfectly fine (that’s how we did it), especially since this package is half-board.

image46.png

image47.png

image48.png

image49.png

Saima Buffet Restaurant on Mabin Island consists of a bar, pool, entertainment room, and buffet area. There are daily performances at the bar, although the specific programs vary, with a fixed Maldivian cultural performance occurring every Friday night.

image50.png

image51.png

image52.png

Here’s a glimpse of some dishes that cater well to the Chinese palate. Dining comes with a lovely sea view, making it quite comfortable.

image53.png

image54.png

image55.png

image56.png

During meal times, there are chefs making cotton candy to please the children, which is a nice touch.

image57.png

image58.png

Another restaurant available for free is located on Dheru Island, and it’s not restricted to guests staying on Dheru Island; the arrangement is mainly based on room location. This restaurant also consists of a bar, pool, entertainment area, and buffet.

image59.png

The menu is similar, featuring international cuisine.

image60.png

image61.png

image62.png

Aside from that, there are several paid dining options; I highly recommend the UMI seafood restaurant, which offers the best views on the island. Situated over the sea, it affords a 360° view of the ocean. As for the sushi restaurant, it caters well to the Chinese palate.

image63.png

image64.png

Dining here, you can also spot baby sharks.

image65.png

MOLO Sunset Restaurant is the best spot on the island for watching the sunset, serving Italian cuisine.

image66.png

image67.png

image68.png

Now, let’s introduce some activities available at Jawakara. With two islands, Mabin is larger, so most public areas are located here, while Dheru is smaller and primarily quiet, ideal for relaxation.

image69.png

image70.png

image71.png

image72.png

image73.png

The two islands are quite spacious, and if you’re feeling lazy, you can rent a bike for $10 a day.

image74.png

image75.png

image76.png

image77.png

There are two water sports centers on the island: one offers powered and non-powered activities like kayaking and sailing, which come at a cost. Motorized activities like jet skiing also incur extra charges.

image78.png

image79.png

image80.png

The other water sports center is dedicated to snorkeling and diving. Although the package offers free snorkeling excursions, Jawakara has high requirements for these outings—participants must be able to swim. We specifically asked a butler about the excursion conditions; it’s mainly for safety reasons due to the larger waves.

image81.png

Other basic activities offered in the Maldives include sunset cruises, deep-sea fishing, and dolphin watching. All activities can be booked through the official app, which is available in Chinese, English, making it very convenient.

Jawakara’s public areas are extensive, as the island is quite large. There are three main infinity pools, all with ocean views.

image82.png

The children’s playground is equipped with both indoor and outdoor facilities, featuring plenty of activities, and paid childcare services are also available.

image83.png
This island has tennis and football courts, ensuring that sports enthusiasts have ample space to play.

There is even a golf course, which is the largest 9-hole golf course in the Maldives. However, golf is not free.
