With the May Day holiday approaching, several hotels in Sanya have announced no price increases, marking another victory for those who wait for deals.
Today, not only do we have great offers in Sanya, but also in Hangzhou, Wuyi Mountain, Tianmu Lake, Xi’an, Dali, and Shanghai, all focusing on vacations.
Additionally, Royal Caribbean has a super affordable cruise offering as well.
What do we have today? A total of 14 great deals.
– Royal Caribbean cruise ship Spectrum’s sailing on April 16, 2025 (Singapore – Nha Trang – Hue/Danang – Hong Kong), with 6 days and 5 nights in an inside cabin for 3388 RMB/person. 1) Royal Caribbean cruise ship Spectrum, April 16, 2025 sailing (Singapore – Nha Trang – Hue/Danang – Hong Kong), 6 days and 5 nights in an inside cabin for 3388 RMB/person. For a family of four in an inside cabin, prices can be as low as 2088.5 RMB/person. There is only one sailing.
Spectrum is a sister ship to Quantum, and the two are almost identical. Everything Quantum offers, Spectrum has too. Spectrum belongs to the Quantum class (which includes Spectrum, Quantum, and Anthem), all of which are of the same category. Currently, the Spectrum is operating in the domestic market, and comparing its home port prices in Singapore to domestic ports shows that domestic competition is very intense.

Isn’t it significantly cheaper than domestic ports? Especially for family rooms, the value increases.
I won’t go into too much detail about the ship since Spectrum is similar to Quantum, over 95% of the aspects are alike. You can refer to previous articles about Spectrum for more information.

2) Sanya Haitang Bay Moutai Resort, Deluxe Room for 3 nights including breakfast for 1399 RMB; Premium Luxury Room for 3 nights including breakfast for 1699 RMB. The validity is until September 28, 2024; during summer (July 20 – August 15) the Deluxe Room for 3 nights is 1999 RMB, and the Premium Room for 3 nights is 2599 RMB, with no price increase for May Day or Dragon Boat Festival.
Moutai Resort is located in Haitang Bay, right next to Sunshine No. 1. The entire resort covers an area of 295 acres with a construction area of 150,000 square meters and includes four hotels: the luxurious Moutai Premium Hotel, high-end Moutai Luxury Hotel, stylish Moutai Boutique Hotel, and Moutai Classic Hotel, along with a water park.
Its advantage lies in the high cost-performance ratio, and it comes with a water park featuring a lazy river, wave pool, surf room, and various activities.
The downside is that all the hotels in this area are not directly by the sea; there is a road separating them. However, there is a pedestrian overpass to the beach from the resort.
The resort comprises four hotels wherein many public areas are shared, such as children’s play areas and go-karting.
Among the four hotels in the resort, the Moutai Classic Hotel is relatively affordable. Normally, without breakfast, the price is close to 600 RMB per night. This time it’s directly 1399 for three nights including breakfast.
The Advanced Room in Moutai Classic is 36 m², featuring a kitchen and a large refrigerator, which gives it a feel similar to a serviced apartment. This configuration is quite suitable for vacations in Sanya.
The Moutai Luxury Hotel ranks second among the four hotels (just after the Premium Hotel), normally priced around 750 RMB per night (without breakfast). This time it is also at 1699 for three nights and includes breakfast.
The Basic Room of Moutai Luxury is 46 m².

Weekly packages, May Day, and Dragon Boat Festival are all without price increases, but there’s certainly limited availability for May Day, so you need to book in advance.
3) Sanya Bay Mangrove Tree Resort, Queen Palm Hotel, 95㎡ one-bedroom suite for 2 nights with breakfast + 2 tickets to the Amazon Jungle Water Park + a couple’s meal at the Craft Brewery or a lunch at the Designer Bar for 1159 RMB. The validity is until June 29, 2024, with no price increases for May Day, Dragon Boat Festival, or weekends.
Sanya Bay Mangrove Tree is an alternative to Atlantis and is not a derogatory term; it indicates high cost-performance value. This is also a large resort complex with multiple hotels, a water park, an indoor kids’ playground, a film workshop, and a cinema.
The Queen Palm Hotel is the best hotel within the Sanya Bay Mangrove Tree. This time they’ve offered a 95㎡ one-bedroom suite, and I will show you pictures of the room.
On the calendar, this room type costs over 1100 RMB per night.
The package includes water park access.
The Sanya Bay Mangrove Tree’s water park covers 33,000 m² and features a beach, wave pool, and extremely thrilling Cobra slide. When I went, there seemed to be constant screaming from excitement.
While Sanya Bay Mangrove Tree’s water park cannot be compared to Atlantis, it is still quite enjoyable for a water experience.
The package also includes a Craft Brewery couple’s meal or a Designer Bar couple lunch; I will also upload pictures (but what you receive will depend on the final dish served).
The Craft Brewery primarily serves craft beer, so they offer beer and light snacks.
The Designer Bar is slightly higher in ambiance and serves a Western-style meal, which feels more filling.
In fact, Sanya Bay Mangrove Tree is best known for its Thai cuisine, followed by coconut chicken. This package is for a two-night stay, so you can also explore on your own.

May Day, Dragon Boat Festival, and weekends have no price increase; this large suite offers great value.
4) Sanya Haitang Bay Hyatt Hotel, luxury sea view suite (140㎡) for 2 nights with breakfast + guest privileges for 2998 RMB; 1 night in a luxury sea view room with breakfast + a couple’s buffet dinner for 1388 RMB. Valid until June 30, 2024, with no price increase for weekends. The 1388 package can’t be used for May Day or Dragon Boat Festival, while the 2998 package requires an additional fee of 800-1200 RMB per night for May (April 30-May 4) and 300 RMB per night during Dragon Boat Festival (June 7-9).
I may have recommended the Hyatt in Haitang Bay multiple times. It is one of my favorite hotels in Haitang Bay, Sanya.
The rooms are large (minimum room area is 68 m²), with most packages offering free extra bed privileges. Moreover, the “Fun Camp” at Haitang Bay Hyatt is the largest in Hainan, making it perfect for families with children.
This time, they’re directly offering a luxurious sea view suite at 140㎡. On the calendar, this room’s price is usually over 2000 RMB per night.
This room type includes executive benefits.
This means breakfast, evening Happy Hour, and afternoon tea can be enjoyed in the executive lounge.
The lounge is decent, and there’s no problem with getting enough to eat there.
The one-night package includes a couple’s buffet dinner. Currently, it features an island-themed buffet covering a variety of Hainan local cuisines and Southeast Asian flavors. If I remember correctly, the group buying price for the Hyatt’s buffet dinner is around 258 RMB per person.
Hyatt Haitang Bay is definitely suitable for families.
The hotel is genuinely family-friendly. The Fun Camp offers a packed schedule of free activities for children every day.
There is an indoor play area exclusively for kids, along with a cooking class. The outdoor area features a children’s pool and a small water amusement park.

5) Sanya Haitang Bay Wanda Realm Garden View Room for 2 nights with breakfast + a couple’s hotpot package for 1199 RMB; Poolside Room for 2 nights with breakfast + couple’s hotpot + floating afternoon tea, for 1799 RMB. Valid until June 30, 2024, with additional charges on weekends and for May Day (but no price increase for Dragon Boat Festival).
The Garden View Room can be used until May 31, it may be upgraded to a deluxe sea view room (not applicable for May Day).
There is also a 799 RMB option for two nights (without breakfast), which I didn’t mention. Paying 1199 for two nights with breakfast and a couple’s hotpot set is an excellent deal for a first-line sea view hotel in Haitang Bay.
Wanda Realm has previously been known as the Hilton Garden Inn in Haitang Bay, a prime sea view hotel with a beach.
The hotel features multiple pools and various indoor and outdoor family activities.
The Wanda Realm Garden View room measures 50 m².
Actually, the poolside room for 2 nights with breakfast + a couple’s hotpot + floating afternoon tea for 1799 RMB is what I would recommend more.
The poolside room is on the first floor, with the balcony directly linked to the swimming pool—essentially a poolside room.

If you want to stay at a value hotel in Haitang Bay, stock up on Wanda Realm.
6) Sanya Bay Holiday Inn for 2 nights with breakfast + daily family carnival activities, at 1088 RMB. Valid until June 30, 2024, with no price increases for May Day, Dragon Boat Festival, or weekends.
Sanya Bay Holiday Inn is one of the few newer hotels in Sanya Bay, having opened in 2019. Therefore, the room and public areas’ facilities are generally much better than other hotels in Sanya Bay.
The hotel is family-friendly and has a 2100㎡ outdoor swimming pool perfect for kids.
Its manager previously worked at Sanya’s Crowne Plaza, bringing over the family-friendly concept. The hotel features a large area for family activities and offers many family-oriented events, enhancing both hardware and software.
It is one of the most family-friendly options among Sanya Bay hotels.
For parents, the hotel’s pool is also very photogenic, perfect for taking pictures.
The standard room at Sanya Bay Holiday Inn measures 40 m².

The advantage of staying in Sanya Bay is its proximity to the airport and downtown. It’s ideal for visitors heading to Sanya for the first or second time.
7) Sanya Junji Sea View Hotel, luxurious sea view room for 2 nights with breakfast + tickets for two to the happy Betel Nut Valley 5A scenic area, at 998 RMB; or luxurious family room for 2 nights with breakfast + tickets, also at 998 RMB. Valid until June 30, 2024, with no price increase for Dragon Boat Festival or weekends. The luxurious sea view room has no price increase for May Day, but for the family room, there’s an additional cost of 100-200 RMB per night during May (April 30-May 4).
The hotel just opened this year, so prices are favorable. It’s located in Sanya’s Dadonghai area, next to hotels like Aotel and JW Marriott Shanhaitian. This position strikes a balance between being lively yet peaceful, and is not far from the city center. Plus, this beach area remains relatively quiet.
Being a newly opened hotel, the facilities should not disappoint.
The hotel’s indoor children’s play area is quite large.
The package offers a luxurious sea view room, which is a fourth-category room type (luxury garden view, selected sea view, garden sea view, luxurious sea view). Typically, it’s over 700 RMB per night including breakfast. This room type is about 45-50㎡ in size, on a higher floor, with a spacious sea view and a large balcony.
You can also choose the luxurious family room, which is 50 m² and has one large (1.8m) and one small (1.2m) bed. This is perfectly suitable for families with children.
The package includes tickets for Betel Nut Valley, a 5A scenic area focusing on tropical rainforest and Hainan’s local Li culture. It’s a fun outing opportunity.

For May Day (luxurious sea view room), Dragon Boat Festival, and weekends, no price increase applies. However, since Sanya Junji Sea View Hotel is new, there might be some minor issues with team coordination. If your stay experience is not satisfactory, feel free to reach out to the assistant.
8) Encounter Tianmu Lake/Encounter Bi Bo Yuan, 1 night with breakfast + tickets for two to Tianmu Lake Scenic Area, at 499 RMB; 2 nights with breakfast + tickets for two to Tianmu Lake Scenic Area + tickets for two to Nanshan Bamboo Sea, at 899 RMB. Valid until July 14, 2024, with no price increase for Fridays but a 300 RMB extra charge for Saturdays, and not applicable for May Day or Dragon Boat Festival.
Reservations made before the end of April for non-weekends may receive room upgrades, and those made from May 6 to June 30 for non-weekends will include complimentary tickets for a boat ride.
If you want to go out for a weekend without an army-like schedule, Tianmu Lake is a really good option.
Tianmu Lake is closer to Hangzhou than Qiandao Lake, around just 60 minutes by high-speed train, while Qiandao Lake takes 2 hours.
Tianmu Lake offers scenic mountain views, real hot springs, bamboo forest with a little train, giant pandas, and delicious fish head!
We have personally visited both hotels this time.
Encounter Tianmu Lake hotel is situated between a water world and a scenic area, as visible from aerial images. Staying here means any scenic area is within a 10-minute walking distance, making access extremely convenient.
This package is valid until July 14, and June is surely a good time to enjoy the water world.
Due to having plenty of rooms, Encounter Tianmu Lake offers the most complete amenities compared to other nearby hotels.
Besides standard all-day dining restaurants and coffee bars, it also has areas for tea brewing, making it the most convenient if you don’t want to search for restaurants outside.
Encounter Bi Bo Yuan had a trial operation at the end of 2022, and we’ve stayed there previously, finding the experience quite pleasant.
The main building of the hotel stylistically reflects new Chinese architecture and is positioned higher than the previously mentioned hotels.
The hotel is right by the entrance to Tianmu Lake Scenic Area, granting easy access.
Additionally, this package includes entry tickets, so whether for Tianmu Lake or Nanshan Bamboo Sea, tickets can be quite pricey.
Tianmu Lake Scenic Area consists of Longxing Island, Tea Island, and the cultural area for shans and devoutness, all showcasing its beauty.
Nanshan Bamboo Sea mainly features bamboo forests, along with adorable giant pandas and an Instagram-worthy ground cable car.
Moreover, even though the package lacks this feature, Tianmu Lake also has Yushui Hot Springs nearby, situated in the woods and bamboo groves.

For surrounding excursions, this package is recommended for friends from the Yangtze River Delta.
9) Hangzhou Canal Tangqi Radisson Manor, 1 night with breakfast + 2 tickets to Chao Mountain Scenic Area or a spring tea experience (choose one), at 499 RMB; 2 nights with breakfast at 799 RMB. Valid until June 30, 2024, with no price increase for weekends, Dragon Boat Festival, and for limited stocks on May Day (with an additional fee of 100 RMB per night after limited stock is out, but this will upgrade to a themed garden view room).
I’ve stayed at this Radisson and absolutely loved it.
Tangqi is an ancient water town in Hangzhou located right by the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. It’s a great place for both exploring and dining. The meatballs in Tangqi are larger than ping pong balls!
Moreover, the night views in Tangqi are simply stunning, making it an ideal weekend getaway as the package has no price increase.
Tangqi Radisson is part of their resort series, well-known as a standard for hotels, and is no different in this case.
The standard room at Tangqi Radisson has an area of 50-60㎡, which is considered quite spacious among their resorts.
